Graduate Infrastructure Support Engineer

As an infrastructure support engineer, your daily responsibilities are integral to ensuring technical excellence and operational efficiency, particularly in cloud environments. Your contribution as a first responder extends to automating day-to-day operations, responding to and escalating production incidents, and assisting development teams in incident resolution.

Job responsibilities

• Help with finding the root cause of incidents (RCA) and prepare reports to explain what happened and how to prevent it in the future.

• Assist in communicating with clients about incidents, answering their questions and explaining how issues are being resolved.

• Work alongside developers and service reliability engineers to improve the reliability of services by writing code for infrastructure and observability.

• Collaborate with development teams to document responses to different types of incidents and create runbooks (guides for handling common issues).

• Monitor how products and services are performing based on key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the business and take action when things go off track.

• Learn, digest and subsequently apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problems.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

• You have less than one year of professional experience in technology.

• You’re eager to learn new technical skills and concepts.

• You’re curious about monitoring, alerting and observability.

• You’re learning or have a basic understanding of networking.

• You’re learning about at least one public cloud platform (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS).

Professional Skills

• You’re passionate about listening to and helping solve client technical problems.

• You have strong communication skills, are proficient in English and feel confident sharing your ideas.

• You can handle ambiguity and enjoy approaching challenges from different angles.

• You thrive in a collaborative, open environment that values transparency, feedback and adaptability.

• You’re willing to participate in a rotating 24×7 support team and can manage multiple tasks.
