We are looking for an experienced WordPress & Performance Developer to clean up, optimize, and migrate an established German insurance/consulting website to a new server environment.

CURRENT SYSTEM & STATUS (as of July 2026):

• Hosting: DomainFactory (Managed Server in Germany, GDPR compliant)
• CMS: WordPress 6.8.5
• Active Theme: MH Magazine Child-Theme (v1.0.0 – legacy)
• Page Builder: WPBakery Page Builder on older pages; newer pages use Gutenberg
• Content Scope: 170 published pages, 96 posts, ~12 active forms, 18 active plugins
• Storage & DB: ~7 GB webspace, ~350 MB SQL database (already partially optimized), ~823 MB backup size
• Security Note: A recent server scan flagged suspicious/legacy files. A report (scan_results_ispgateway_de.txt) is available in the root directory and needs to be analyzed and cleared.

TARGET ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:

• Target Plan: DomainFactory “Webhosting Plus Grow” (cPanel, NVMe storage, 16 GB dedicated RAM, 8 vCPUs, fully managed in Germany)
• Future Expansion: Preparing the architecture for 3 interactive calculators (health insurance/payouts), GDPR-compliant video embeds, and expansion to 400 pages / 200 posts.

SCOPE OF WORK:

1. 1. Decommissioning: Completely remove 2 obsolete domain installations from the webspace.
2. 2. Malware Cleanup: Analyze `scan_results_ispgateway_de.txt`, clean any infected/suspicious files, and fix security vulnerabilities on a staging site.
3. 3. Database & Plugin Audit: Manually purge orphan tables, transients, and legacy data from the 350 MB database. Audit 18 plugins for PHP 8.2+ compatibility.
4. 4. Server Migration: Safely migrate the cleaned site (including WPBakery layout structures and 12 forms) to the new cPanel/NVMe environment.
5. 5. STAGING MANDATE: All audit, cleanup, and testing work MUST take place on a mirrored staging environment. No live editing!

OPTIONAL SCOPE (Package B):

• Full theme migration from MH Magazine to a lightweight modern framework (e.g., Astra, GeneratePress, or Kadence) including layout replication and form testing.
