We are looking for an experienced WordPress Engineer to join our team and help build, maintain, and improve high-quality websites and web applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Build responsive, mobile-first websites from UI/UX designs
- Customize existing themes and optimize performance
- Work with custom post types, REST API, and advanced WordPress features
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Ensure website security, speed, and scalability
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs or technical issues
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers
Requirements
- Strong experience with WordPress development
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with custom themes and plugin development
- Familiarity with WooCommerce is a plus
- Understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices
- Experience working with APIs and database management (MySQL)
- Ability to convert UI/UX designs into functional websites
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with headless WordPress
- Knowledge of REST API / GraphQL
- Experience with Git version control
- Familiarity with deployment on cloud or VPS environments
- SEO and Core Web Vitals optimization experience
